blah

Today is a blah day. We are halfway between being here and our journey to Maine, mentally of course not physically. We are packaged and have said our goodbyes and Happy Turkey day's to friends. Our fridge looks like we moved in yesterday or adopted a war rationed diet. Our mind's are going over the airline details and things needed for 9 hours in a car and 6 hours in a plane, but we don't leave until tomorrow. The anticipation of relatives meeting our children for the first time and a quick reminder of what "cold" really feels like is on the horizon and excitement squeals out of the little ones when the simple word plane is slightly mentioned. Wasn't August the weekend before last? How did this holiday season sneak up so fast? Either way it is here and let the celebrating begin, tomorrow that is.
