beach blanket birthday
I couldn't have asked for a better low-key day yesterday. The sun did make an appearance but could have come with just a little warmer temps. We spent some time at college cove just the four of us and Little B tried to ride his first wave. He has been practicing paddling all summer and this was his first stand up ride attempt. He had it for a second and then down he went and water up the nose. Not too bad for a four year old.
We left the beach and headed for home to drop the kids and then on to a foodie adventure to Larrupin, a local restaurant that we had not tried. Everyone has said this is the place for local organic food in a culinary marriage. The atmosphere was perfect with lights, the patio jazz, the flowers and trees hugging you in to a cozy intimate space with the pacific just peaking through. The food was very fresh and
C'est très magnifique. I will return to tingle the tastebuds. We left and stopped at Moonstone Beach Grill for a drink and a beautiful orange sunset and on to home for a slice of gluten free carrot cake with coconut cream frosting made by Erin that was perfect!
