I have the privilege of picking and hosting our book club this month. My book pick was "The Object of Beauty" by Steve Martin. Yes, the same comedic Steve Martin. I have to admit I didn't read the inside cover or look at reviews of the book. I fell in love with the cover design, as graphic designers often do and chose it solely based on this attraction. I do enjoy the book but I really find myself admiring the cover before opening it up to read each time I pick it up. I had to know who did the artwork? It turns out it is an artist named Darren Booth, a talented hand-lettering and illustration designer. I admire his work and maybe you will too.
