The shadows are lengthening and the daylight is dwindling toward its winter slumber. For now we have the in between of fall, my favorite season. Summer has slipped away and the small changes have begun here on the North Coast. The change is not as dramatic as a Michigan or Maine Fall but subtle and gentle. Our few deciduous trees have started to change color and their is a definite nip to the air. The apples are finishing their sweetness and a picking is in our near future which means of course baking of some apple pies. The pumpkins are growing in the garden in anticipation of Halloween. What is your favorite part of fall?
