ever bearing

The blossoms are back and these my friends are Ever Bearing Strawberries. I have never grown this variety and have only grown the June Bearing variety of all or nothing at one time. I thought maybe mother nature was playing tricks on me (a long with trick no egg chickens) but here we are in late September with strawberries on the vine. The Ever Bearing produces smaller crops, two to three times in a years' growing cycle. The first year planted cut back any vines that grow and let loose on year two to produce more fruit with each crop cycle, this tip from a "local ocal".
