we are not vegetarians

Last week was slaughter week for a cow we bought into with five other people. The meat was cut this weekend and brought home to be jam packed into our freezer. Thankfully we did not go halfsies like we originally planned. A sixth of a cow is a butt-load of beef. Our cow was from Christie's Farm of Blue Lake. All natural, no hormones, no corn feed, grass fed, happy cow beef. We like red meat on occasion but without the anomia and antibiotics, so we decided to do it this way with BBQ season on our doorstep. We had our first steak yesterday and the taste is so different from grocery store beef! If anyone in this area is looking for beef, Christie's Farm is where its at!
