peas and such

These little diddies are from the garden and where picked by the little ones. I was surprised first by the fact that they wanted to pick them and second by the fact that they LOVED cracking them open and eating the "goods" on the inside. These are the two children of mine who battle day after day about eating vegetable. In fact they LOVED it so much they where battling each other for more peas. Yes folks, fighting over who had more peas than the other. PEAS! I knew that a garden would provide a platform for learning but the obvious was a new love for vegetables. 

Some news coming down the pipeline is a new chicken coop in our backyard with hens making a new home. I plan on sharing our learning curve with these creatures of delight in a section called chicken chronicles. Check back next week for more delicious recipes too! Happy Friday!
